Recently Jovan Jovanov, an SNP Security officer at Old Parliament House, was awarded the Australian Security Medal of Valour for his heroic and selfless actions when intervening in an attack on an elderly man occurring just outside his work site earlier this year.
Canberra Times reporter Megan Gorrey interviewed Jovan and had him recall the day the security officer went above and beyond to save the life of a man being brutally attacked and deescalated the situation before any more serious injuries could occur.
